10 Trends For The 2025 Brides

With every year we welcome fresh, stylish and innovative wedding trends, led by industry experts and tastemakers, and adopted by couples across the World. 2024 has seen a resurgence of more traditional touches, as well as the introduction of more unconventional ideas, and we expect 2025 will be much the same. As we approach the new year, we’re making trend predictions for 2025 - from lush Calla lilies inspired by haute couture to customised menus and wedding wardrobes, here’s a look at the top 10 wedding trends that will flood your feeds next year. Brides-to-be - take note!

  1. Tall Calla Lilies:

With Jacquemus setting the stage for this elegant bloom, tall Calla lilies are set to take centre stage in bridal arrangements and wedding decor. Moving away from the loose, wild flower arrangements that we’ve seen in previous years, Calla lilies offer a more sculptural look that works particularly well for minimalist and tonal wedding schemes. Opt for lilies of varied heights to add opulence to your tablescape, and tie a handful of stems with silk for a refined and romantic bouquet alternative.

  1. Vintage Decor

Vintage decor is back - expect nostalgic elements like antique furniture, lace table runners and heirloom-inspired dinnerware that give both ceremonies and receptions that unique charm and personalised look. Whether you opt for a rustic vibe with mismatched crockery, coloured glassware and that clumsy-made-chic feel, or a more regal, romantic look with draped fabrics and vintage silverware - look to generations before us for inspiration.

  1. 35mm Film Photography

A trend that has begun to take its place already this year, couples are embracing the charm and imperfection of 35mm film photography for its soft tones and authentic, nostalgic look. The grainy, candid style of film captures the day’s raw emotions, creating keepsakes that feel organic and timeless, whilst the process of capturing film feels more precious and romantic. Although a slightly more restrictive medium, more and more photographers are responding to this rising trend and adding film photography as a hybrid offering, whilst others are setting the stall by shooting exclusively on film.

  1. Wedding Wardrobes

In case you needed an excuse to buy that second dress that you can’t stop thinking about - you’re welcome, this is it. Wedding wardrobes are in - think chic engagement outfits, rehearsal dinner ensembles, after-party sparkles, and dreamy ‘day-after’ brunch looks - a highly curated set of styles that are perfect for personal expression. We envision brides mixing the old with the new here - incorporating rented, second-hand or inherited pieces into their wedding wardrobe, reimagining their ‘something old, something borrowed’ across the entire celebration.

5. Alternative Desserts: Cake No More

2024 Instagram feeds saw a flurry of over-the-top wedding cakes embellished with wavy piping and ruffled buttercream, setting the stall for more decorative designs for years to come. In 2025, we see these and more traditional styles being swapped out for innovative dessert options like mini pavlovas, macaron displays and summer berry tarts. These unique dessert alternatives add an interactive, personalised touch to the celebration, and also an excuse to simply choose your favourite sweet treat for your special day.

6. Wedding Content Creators

Hiring a wedding content creator is a fast-growing trend, as couples look to capture unedited, candid moments for social media. These creators provide real-time iPhone coverage, offering authentic, behind-the-scenes glimpses that friends and family can follow along instantly.

7. Multiple-Day Celebrations

The traditional, single-day wedding is being replaced with extended, multiple-day events that give couples more time to enjoy with loved ones. From welcome dinners to farewell brunches, these extended celebrations turn weddings into full experiences.

8. Pops of Colour

While white weddings will always be timeless and classic, 2025 sees brides introducing bold colours into their bridal looks and wedding schemes. From vibrant floral accents, colourful bridesmaid dresses and playful accessories - adding a splash of colour will make the celebration more lively and visually captivating.

9. Curated and Bespoke Food Menus

Personalisation is key in 2025, and this extends to wedding menus. Couples are moving away from generic catering options and opting for curated, bespoke food experiences. This trend sees the rise of tasting menus, themed food stations, and interactive chef experiences that showcase the couple’s favourite flavours and experiences that are reminiscent of their time together. Whether it be a sharing menu centred around seasonal and local offerings, an oyster bar, a minimalist grazing table, a fresh pasta station, or late-night burger bar - a curated dining experience should be memorable, interactive and reflective of your taste.

10. Honeymoon Funds Instead of Traditional Registries

As couples prioritise experiences over material gifts, honeymoon funds will become a popular alternative to traditional wedding registries in 2025. Many brides and grooms will be asking guests to contribute to their dream honeymoon instead of purchasing decorative or practical household gifts. This trend aligns with the shift away from the tradition that a couple only builds a home together once married. From romantic dinners, luxurious stays and adventurous excursions, these honeymoon funds allow guests to contribute to the couple’s post-wedding adventures.
