Minka Jewels
“Minka Jewels is a London-based jewellery business specialising in quality, heirloom pieces, founded by British gemmologist Lucy Crowther in 2016. Synonymous with colourful gemstone jewellery, Minka’s focus is on making fuss-free designs with simple clean lines, modern settings and a good amount of gold. Every piece is designed by Lucy and made by highly skilled master craftsmen in the UK, using only the highest quality materials and jewellery-making methods.
Meet Lucy
A trained gemstone dealer and gemmologist from the Gemmological Institute of Great Britain (Gem-A), Lucy is an expert in hand picking the very best gemstones from all over the World. Sourcing striking stones that are unmatched in their cut, colour and clarity, Lucy is known for translating inspired ideas into one-of-a-kind, wearable designs that are both bold and beautiful. When creating both her signature pieces, and bespoke commissions, Lucy ensures that every design is led by the stone itself.
Bespoke
Offering modern twists on easy-to-wear, bold shapes, Minka not only creates its signature pieces, but also offers a bespoke service for those looking to reset inherited stones or rework existing jewels, commission alternative engagement rings, or those simply wanting to be part of the design process.“

Mara Works
“Founded by Jax, Mara Works was born from a want to redefine the essence of accessible luxury in jewellery. The Cambridge-based brand produces hand-made jewellery using only high quality, sustainably sourced beads, each piece made-to-order and personally designed and crafted by Jax, her daughter, Matilda, and friend Nat. You won’t receive a piece that hasn’t passed through their hands. Its versatile designs cater to all - elegant yet playful beaded necklaces and bracelets, intended to be seen and loved everyday. Layer them together, with your existing jewels or let them stand alone as statement pieces and infuse a stylish spirit into every ensemble. Drawing inspiration from its African heritage, the jewellery celebrates rich, vibrant colour - from lagoon blues to papaya pinks and Saharan golds, each reminiscent of African life and landscape. The Mara Works colour wheel explains the powerful meaning behind each colour combination and the intended effect on its wearer.
With strong family ties to Africa, Jax, Matilda and Nat donate all proceeds from Mara Works directly to CAMFED - a social enterprise they have worked closely with for many years which supports girls in rural Africa to learn and lead. Through grassroots-led education programmes, it catalyses the power of the most vulnerable girls and young women to create the future they imagine; for themselves, for their communities, and for Africa.”

Alex Gore Browne; Sustainability
Alex Gore Browne knitwear is made from the finest cashmere, non mulesed, merino wool and Supima cotton - these materials are ethically sourced and traceable back to the farm of origin through chain of custody, with suppliers all being certified by the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS). The RWS is a voluntary standard that incentivises farming best practices and aims to improve the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on. RWS farmers are evaluated against animal welfare, land management, and social requirements set against progressive criteria, all of which are audited by a professional, third-party certification body.
Our pieces are knitted in a carefully picked, family run Italian factory, where living wages are paid, regular audits are carried out and working practices are monitored and held to a quality standard. Our pieces are then hand finished and delicately embroidered by the AGB team here in our solar-powered studio in Oxfordshire, before being packed into recycled card packaging and sent off to our lovely customers.
In a commitment to slow and circular fashion and in a stand against a throwaway culture, our focus lies in the longevity of your clothes, ensuring your knits stand the test of time. We offer both a repair and bespoke customisation service whereby old knits are given a new lease of life - these services apply to any beloved piece of clothing you own, as well as your AGB knit. In line with our ethos, we encourage our customers to shop small, and slow, investing in quality and extending the life of each piece they own for as long as possible.
